Operated 800 tonne ammonia refrigeration plant, 2 boilers-3rd class steam plant, & related equipment, responsible for all equip. & processes relating to water, sewage, steam or refrigeration. Major involvement in plant upgrade/expansion, new refrigeration equipment/freezer and plant computer control system. Over and above Chief Steam engineer/Lead Hand duties time performing millwright, refrigeration mechanic, plumber and electrician duties on building systems, packaging and processing equipment. Interpreted equipment schematics and trouble shoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems, on complex process equipment as well as HVAC, pumps, compressors, vacuum packaging equipment and other systems.

Largest coal fired generating station in Western Canada, 4 x 400MW, and 2 x 360MW steam turbine driven generators. Included starting up coal pulverizes, cleaning out ash build ups via thermal suit, chemcial batching for water treatment as well control room training.

Plant wide pipeline colour coding system, Shadowing plant operators, running 2 x 380MW steam turbine drive generators, water treatment plant, all generating plant associated equipment as well as bottom ash and fly ash treatment and removal systems. Owned by "Alberta Power" when I worked there.
