LIGHT-BBS it was called and used to distribute the news of these networks to its local subscribers, enabling file-sharing, polls, forums, group and private messaging as well as online live chats at a time when the internet wasn't as widely and commonly available as it is today. It eventually grew into a school wide (social network type) phenomenon right before the internet came and (for good or worse) kinda killed it. Thanks to all participating in this project - those were great times!
