In this role, I was responsible for two teams within the Backup and Recovery team. Our support group and architecture group. The support group was primarily responsible for ticket management and the operational support of PPG’s backups, globally. Our architecture group was primary responsible for architecting new solutions, configuration and setup of any new infrastructure and project leadership. I worked closely with our EMC account team on budgeting, license management and technology support. The group was also responsible for scheduling as well. We utilized a tool called Atomic Automation Engine (UC4). This tool is a widely used scheduling tool within PPG, primarily for Linux but was used on some Windows machines. We averaged roughly 800,000 jobs a day. We were the administrators of the tool responsible for the Infrastructure, scheduling and alerting. Key Achievements:- Lead a project to reevaluate the backup strategy overall in both Data Centers and our remote sites, this included software and hardware.- Successfully managed a project to retired tape backups within PPG to an EMC solution including Networker and Data Domain.- Implemented RMAN for Oracle, a solution that retired our HP Data Protector solution.- Managed a project to upgrade our Atomic scheduling software without any downtime. - Implemented a Global Data Domain presence in our main Data Centers, Globally.

In this leadership role, I managed a 3rd tier support staff for all Globally supported servers, as well as the coordination of Global Infrastructure projects. I acted as our liaison with our Dell account team to ensure hardware specifications are Globally available and supported. My group also maintained and provided 3rd tier support for Dell Enclosures. - Designed and implemented a customer facing self-service InfoPath form for project inquiries and tracking- Continue to manage PPG's Global portal for server hardware orders, this ensures a standard between all Global support teams ordering servers.- Designed and created Visual Studio Reports that are used by management and support technicians - Technical lead and architect for Symantec IT Management Suite (ITMS), formerly known as Altiris which is our asset management and software delivery tool for all servers globally.- Retained my Symantec System Recovery (SSR) technical lead status.

In this leadership role, I maintained a 3rd tier support role for the company's globally supported servers, as well as the coordination of infrastructure projects. I am the technical lead for Altiris which is our Inventory and software delivery tool for all servers globally. With Altiris we are able to push out software and hotfixes utilizing the software delivery piece of Altiris. We also use Altiris to inventory our servers. I also retained my Backup Exec System Recovery technical lead status. BESR has proven to be a key recovery tool for the OS.Key Achievements:- Designed, Implemented and managed a major software upgrade of Altiris, now known as IT Management Solution which does include SSR 2011 (Formerly known as Backup Exec System Recovery)- Continued the role of disaster recovery for remote locations, leveraging IT Management Solution Responsible for all server orders, maintaining and submitting budget numbers for server refreshes and new project orders.- Responsible for maintaining our Global Dell server portal where our standard configurations are for IT globally to order from live.

Globally maintained and supported PPG’s servers, ranging from Exchange, SQL, Application and WEB servers, both physical and virtual. I am currently on a team primarily based around project management and 3rd tier support for both hardware and Microsoft server Operating Systems. I am the technical lead, responsible for the implementation, design and maintenance of Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery, Altiris, PPG’s disaster recovery strategies / testing and our SQL environment. I am also the departments SharePoint administrator responsible for day to day maintenance / troubleshooting and design. I also served on PPG’s Crisis Management Team made up of senior support personal.
