I am a UMBC '07 Mechanical Engineering graduate, artist, and professional maker. I have been 3D modeling since 1997, love 3D printers, laser cutters and other forms of digital fabrication. In 2005 I started using 3d printing, started sell prints, and designing objects for others. This quickly led to the founding of Custom 3D Stuff LLC, an object creation firm. We offer consulting, 3D modeling, and design services as well as sell custom 3D printed objects, including movie props, promotional and advertising material, jewelry, replicas, new products, and engineering prototypes. I especially like to focus on 3d designs which are difficult to create with other methods aside from 3D printing. AutoCAD and MeshMixer are my software packages of choice.At the beginning of 2012 I was recruited as a founding member of a highly visible interdisciplinary design department within MakerBot to create flagship designs that showcase the full capabilities of The Replicator 3D printer. I spent the year working as a 3d designer and as the principal liaison with the MakerBot marketing department, responsible for integrating 3D design and printing in all marketing efforts. Among many many other projects, at Makerbot I had to opportunity to design two of the robots for the Robot Petting Zoo for San Mateo Maker Faire 2012, design the 3d printed elements for the front cover of Wired Magazine, an electronics and 3d printed action figure kit for RadioShack, the worlds first fully automated 3d printing photo booth in the Makerbot Manhattan retail store, as well products in the store and the store itself. I've since left Makerbot to continue my personal pursuits.I'm also a tournament Go and Foosball player, and love shooting pool. I am a member of the volunteer costumed charity organizations known as the 501st and Rebel legions, sporting Stormtrooper armor and an Ice Cream Maker Guy costume. I'm based in Brooklyn, NY and Baltimore, MD. and a member of the Baltimore Node Hackerspace.
