I had my first introduction to sales as a 7 year old paperboy participating in a magazine drive with the grand prize being a week at a dude ranch. I don't know if it was the competition itself or that week of riding horses that was my larger motivator, but I beat out 200 other area paper boys and won that contest. There was never any fear of cold calling or asking for the order back then, just a burning desire to win. I have spent my career in sales doing a few things that have lead to my success.Staying focused and active in my prospecting and follow up, listening to my customer to find the pain points, being upbeat and positive regardless of the obstacles and offering a solution that is a win/win for my customer and my business.After many years of representing a number of the largest brands in the sportswear industry to customers throughout Florida and Illinois, I have found merchant services a refreshing and welcome change. My solution selling skills transferred easily to selling for Phase 3 Payments. I am well on my way to my goal of servicing 400 merchants to our mutual benefit.
