Responsible for the overall financial and operational management of a $10 million organization operating in five states; Responsibilities included all accounting, finance, human resources, all management aspects of operations, monthly financial reporting to the Board of Directors, preparation of annual budgets and expansion forecasts.Voted CFO of the Year by Baltimore SmartCEO Magazine in 2012

Responsible for managing and reporting a large portfolio of Federal, State, private equity and property management investments for a family home office. Responsibilities included cash management, quarterly and yearly reporting, quarterly distributions to beneficiaries and property management of commercial and residential properties. The commercial and residential properties were liquidated and the position was eliminated in 2011.

Overall authority for the financial and operational management of a $90 million organization with operations in five states. Established and directed management functions including cash management, financial and tax reporting, banking relations, job costing, financial forecasts and budgets, loan compliance reports, employee benefits and administration. Managed and developed staff. Responsible for establishing and closing on over $100 million in loan commitments while CFO. Negotiated land purchase contracts, managed the loan process and worked directly with engineers through the land recordation process. Reported directly to the Board of Directors, President and Vice President concerning operations, financial reports and budgets.

Performed a full spectrum of accounting functions including audits, reviews and compilations of clients’ records. Prepared multi-state corporate and personal tax returns for individual and corporate clients. Carried out and managed general ledger functions, including account analysis and reconciliation, journal entries and financial reports. Developed budgets, and performed variance analysis in accordance with business plan. Managed implementation of information technologies, within the organization as well as for clients.
