About Todd Crone
The two most important things for me in software development are writing automated tests (not generating) and maintainable code. I've professionally written JVM languages like Java, Groovy, and Kotlin.Writing test code is fun and important. I don't want to work with devs that would prefer to generate tests because they are "no fun." That is not proper software engineering. I want to try new things with humble, intelligent, and skilled people.Some skills I want to have the opportunity to develop in my next role are dev ops stuff with Kubernetes and micro-service deployments on one of the top cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). I like to focus on high-performance backend JVM micro-services. I also would love an excuse to get some experience with Rust and Linux.
