- Serves as the university’s executive information technology (IT) officer, overseeing all IT-centric enterprise-wide strategies, IT policies, planning and acting as IUP’s IT representative for Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE)-wide initiatives.- Responsible for all strategies impacting IT Services functions and operations – including all personnel, budgets, equipment, and facilities.- Specifically responsible for all strategic aspects of Student Computing Help Desk, IT security, and data security governance across the university.- Provides oversight to IT support for students, staff, administrators, and affiliates, as well as IT support for faculty administrative duties, multimedia classroom support, and online learning (including fully online academic programs and the Winter Term).- Oversees IT support for regional campuses, other academic programs in affiliate locations, the administrative portion of the Academy of Culinary Arts, and university IT support for affiliates and partners (Co-Op, campus dining, Research Institute, etc.).- Provides IT budget oversight for academic colleges and library with centrally managed budgets, and technical oversight in centrally managed areas such as IT infrastructure, application development, and customer support.- Serves as the senior university advisor to executive-level planning and governing bodies on IT matters, assuming a PASSHE IT leadership role in alignment with the best interests of the university and system.- Represents the university as a presenter at local, state, regional, and national IT and higher education events, elevating the university’s profile while supporting the academy.- Defines centralized IT strategies and policies.

Serve as the organizational leader of the centralized Information Technology Services department at IUP, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the department's alignment with university priorities.- Manage a team of over 40 professionals, providing guidance and direction for their day-to-day activities.- Implement sound IT governance practices, encompassing fiscal and human resource management, to support the university's strategic objectives.- Drive both operational and strategic planning activities, contributing to the overall success of the department and its initiatives.- Provide oversight for comprehensive service management functions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to university stakeholders.- Demonstrate strong organizational and people management skills, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.- Effectively manage a multimillion-dollar budget, encompassing various areas such as IT infrastructure, ERP, enterprise systems, cloud solutions, and teaching technology.- Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with vendors, overseeing vendor management and partnership activities.- Encourage professional development and continuous improvement initiatives, facilitating staff growth in core technologies.- Offer valuable leadership on university committees, including the University Planning Council, university-wide retention and persistence committee, and Enrollment Management Leadership Team.

Assist the Executive Director with the management of the day-to-day operations of the central IT organization at IUP. My role was to take the operational duties of the organization and make sure they were running smoothly along with managing the operational budget and technology fee budget.

I managed the User Services group of the Technology Services Center (TSC). This group of 8 staff members were responsible for the operation of the Administrative Help Desk, the management of all the desktops/laptops (1300), the depoloyment of software, the management of patches, managed the Active Directory resource domain for all administrative desktops and staff, etc.

Provided desktop support to any computer in administrative computing, including the PC, peripherals, connection to the mainframe environment, etc.
