- Establish and maintain an enterprise architecture (EA) framework, which includes methods and standards suitable for technology and business stakeholders; - Formulate a standardised EA management approach, which can be tailored to the range of technology project types and variable scope/ scale of work;- Coordinate the technology architecture "virtual team" in terms of collaboration and information sharing activities, and in defining EA roadmaps;- Develop risk management approaches to be incorporated into the EA framework;- Facilitate cooperation across internal and external groups where required to improve methods and processes;- Mentor solutions architects across the Division where required to work in with the defined framework, and to develop individual skill sets and expertise.

- Develop and document the IT architecture required to underpin the one stop shop (OSS);- Develop an agreed prioritisation framework to identify which standards are required to meet the near-term needs of the OSS Plan and agency system replacements expected;- Review in line with the prioritisation framework QGEA and any other standards applicable to the OSS; - Review in line with international best practice/standards; - Recommend new/changes to ICT standards required; - Draft new standards to fit within QGEA and, make any revisions required by the process prior to final adoption;- Document the process for ongoing OSS standards and architecture development and evolution;- Develop a prioritised action plan for additional standard to be developed as part of the ongoing OSS program;- Develop a high level roadmap to implement the core components of the new architecture in line with the overall OSS programme timeline.

- Mature foundation Enterprise Architecture capability across the national eHealth community.- Establish NEHTA Enterprise Architecture foundation capabilities to support the delivery of national eHealth solutions.- Lead and manage a team of Enterprise Architects to deliver NEHTA and national outcomes.- Provide Enterprise Architecture guidance to Australian state and territory health agencies.- Guide the development of national eHealth strategy.- Drive NEHTA ICT Strategic Planning.- Drive solution architecture practice improvements- Drive national Enterprise Architecture Maturity through development of national standards.- Guide major tendor evaluations.

- Influence NEHTA's strategic and operational planning so that it supports the evolutionary path towards the defined target national eHealth environment.- Provide a high performance enterprise architecture capability required by NEHTA to support the realization of strategic and tactical initiatives, as well to drive and support internal capability improvements.- Drive the architectural assurance and related governance mechanisms to ensure high quality NEHTA deliverables.- Drive strategic architecture capability to support the Manager Architecture Services and Head of Architecture.- Drive architectural maturity improvements across the national eHealth sector.

- Whole of Government Enterprise Architecture Collaboration- Manage a series of projects to improve architectural maturity across the NSW government sector.- Coordination of cross-agency activities to develop a Whole of Government Enterprise Architecture Toolkit (Core Enterprise Architecture Toolkit – CEA).- Apply Enterprise Architecture practices to support the Collaborative Government Services Program delivery capability.- Support NSW Government agencies Enterprise Architecture initiatives.- Advise NSW Government agencies on methods to support improved service delivery.

- Develop, publish and maintain the Commerce IM&T Strategy and Enterprise Architecture in line with Whole of Government and Executive direction.- Review and recommend or approve key proposals relating to IM&T including business cases, requests for change, and exceptions to IM&T Strategy, Enterprise Architecture and/or processes.- Work in partnership with clients and vendors to identify, test, procure and document cost effective IM&T solutions to meet business requirements.- Work closely with the Enterprise Security group, IT Services and GCIO to ensure a consistent approach to governance and operational documentation and processes.- Liaise with the Government Chief Information Office (GCIO) in establishing best practice processes and systems within Commerce and in Whole of Government.- Deliver high quality briefing papers that address complex IM&T related issues for the GM IM&T, IM&T Board, the Executive or the Minister as required.- Liaise with clients, IM&T peers and vendors on a regular basis to understand business requirements and explain the purpose and benefits of the IM&T Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Governance and Processes.- Work that is normally performed by other members of the Enterprise IM&T Architecture team, in their absence or otherwise as required.
