The Greater Redding Chamber of Commerce is an association of businesses organized to improve the business climate and contribute to the economic health of its membership and the Greater Redding area.

After Diagnostic Imaging purchased Davis X-Ray, customer service began its slow descent, and nationwide layoffs started. In May of 2000, Todd Davis took these unfortunate circumstances and turned them into an opportunity to continue what his dad had started. Todd’s main goal was to once again provide local service to its medical imaging community, which he did with the help of only two other employees. And so began the steady growth of Aray Medical. Within two years, Aray purchased the assets of Western X-ray of Reno, NV expanding its territories across stateliness. After five years, Aray grew his geographical footprint serving Northern CA, Western NV, and Southern OR with the help of 20+ employees and the loyal client base of 500+ customers with local offices in Redding, CA, Reno, NV, and Chico, CA. We serve the full range of healthcare-related markets: integrated health systems, hospitals, acute care facilities, medical groups, diagnostic centers, and other alternate site providers, including surgery and emergency care facilities, orthopedic groups, imaging centers, physician offices, veterinary offices, and chiropractic centers.

Pacific Sky is a creative agency offering branding, marketing, and design solutions. In 2011, Todd had a desire to find a marketing agency that could handle the launch of one of his many businesses. He found that many of the local marketing companies usually focused on one, maybe two services. Without successfully finding what we were looking for, he started what is now called Pacific Sky. In 2015, he took his company and made it an employee-owned company. Pacific Sky was among the first marketing agencies in Redding to have everything under one roof.Pacific Sky is an employee-owned company.

In late 2015, West Coast Innovations promoted its divisions into its own employee-owned companies. West Coast Innovations exists today as a management company that provides administration, accounting, human resources, risk analysis, purchasing service, and support. October 31, 2020, While I am excited about the opportunities and the companies that were formed by West Coast Innovations, it is with sadness that we say good-bye. I will always be grateful for the men and women that made this all possible. It is my hope that our paths will cross again in the future at Aray Medical, Obsidian IT, or Pacific Sky. Again, I thank you for the many positive memories I have from our work together in making this happen.

The Rotary Club of Redding is dedicated to the success of our future leaders and local youth! Two of our Club’s Youth Services Programs illustrate this very commitment. Our Youth Services Committees work year-round to support all programs aimed at helping our youth develop and strengthen their leadership skills, build confidence, and ultimately grow our youth into tomorrow’s leaders that will, in turn, serve their communities.

The United Way of Northern California began in Shasta County in 1953. Today, it serves the 9 far Northern California counties of Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Plumas, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity. Though the United Way was traditionally known as a donations broker, where funds were raised and allocated to local non-profits, today the organization is much more than that. Wendy Zanotelli, President & CEO, states, "In addition to raising funds for local non-profits, today we are a community connector. We assess community needs and attempt to augment resources where there are gaps. This may come in the form of specific funding targets or in the form of programs”. Examples of programs include the 2-1-1 program, a direct-dial resource line where community members can call to get connected to the local resources available to help with their specific needs, and an online Volunteer Matching service that matches community members looking for volunteer opportunities with local non-profits in need of volunteer help. 2-1-1 has been operational since 2011 and the Volunteer Matching site will launch later this year.Though there are 1800 United Ways in 41 countries, every United Way is local and autonomous. The United Way of Northern California has their own 501c3, their own local volunteer board of directors, all decisions are made locally, and all funds raised here, stay here. The benefit, however, is that there is a worldwide network of resources and experience that is shared among all United Ways. NHD is a corporation that represents the regional independent imaging distributors to Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO`s). NHD chooses one distributor in a particular area to become a shareholder. The distributor they choose is the most reputable in their area with the highest standards of quality services. NHD will execute these imaging supply, service, and equipment agreement’s seamlessly throughout the country. Today, NHD consists of 31 Independent Dealers, like Aray Medical, across the United States. NHD helps these dealers by facilitating Vendor-Dealer and GPO (customer) – Dealer relationships. This helps Aray Medical have the ability to compete locally by honoring national discounts.

After the Davis X-Ray was sold in December of 1999, I continued my role in sales until I was eventually laid-off.

In 1979, Hospital X-Ray Technician Mike Davis, a local graduate of Yuba College, started Davis X-Ray. Before this time, the closest x-ray company was located in San Francisco, and hospital technicians/ biomedical departments had to service their own machines. Mike was among these techs. News travels fast in a small town, and soon Mike was servicing other locals’ machines. It became abundantly clear that there was a great need in the Northern CA area for an x-ray service company. So, Davis X-ray was born. Over the next 20 years, it grew to include 30 employees after opening an office in Medford, OR, and merging with Beam X-Ray in Chico, CA. After establishing a strong foundation and a name, people had come to know and trust, Mike Davis sold Davis X-Ray to Diagnostic Imaging in the hopes of them taking what he had built and improving upon it.From early on and starting at the age of 15, I began from the ground up from warehouse management, chemical production, field service engineer, administrational services, processor department management, and then sales. Working in a family business has its challenges, but the direction and leadership of Mike Davis gave me the tool for success. I was taught the hard work, dedication, and communication builds strong customer relationships.
