I founded Valor Collegiate Academies in 2013 and we opened our first middle school in the Fall of 2014. We now serve over 1900 families across two middle schools and a high school. We also operate our sharing and learning program, Powered by Compass, which has worked with over 200 schools and leaders around the country in different capacities to help them implement parts of the Valor model into their schools.Our schools have been in the top 5% in the State in both overall achievement AND student growth (only about 1% of schools statewide accomplish this feat) every year since we opened - making us the top performing charter network in the State in both achievement and in growth. We focus on strong academics integrated with social-emotional learning. We are also passionate about developing great educators. We do all of our work in a richly diverse community of families and educators that care deeply about social justice.
