What do you do when everything changes? I chose to follow a dream.I spent over twenty years in retail management starting off in market research and ended up running restaurants. I enjoyed the fast pace and the opportunity to work directly with customers. What I loved most was the teams I worked with and being able to lead people and train others to advance in their career. Then, it happened.An accident that left me with some physical limitations forced me to accept that I could no longer continue in the role I had spent my whole career. So, I changed careers. I went back to school and acquired a couple degrees in what has always been my passion since I was a little kid typing programs into a TI-99er 4A. Yes, I'm that old. I even designed, programmed, and released a few video games.So what makes me special? 📌 20 years of experience in teamwork and leadership in an environment where seconds count📌 History of developing and training people📌 A drive for excellence and attention to detail - Graduated from two colleges with a 4.0 GPA at each 📌 I love programming - I have since I was a kid and still spend my spare time working on my own projects📌 I'm not afraid to put in the work - Whether it was the years in retail or pushing myself to release my own video games, I've never backed down from the challenges📌 Most people fear change - I embrace it. It's why I'm herePersonally, I think the last point is probably the most important. Life is about change and sometimes choices are made for you. It's important to look at these changes as opportunities rather than setbacks.
