Vacaville Police Department

I was with the Vacaville Police Department from 1991 to 2018. In July of 2011 I was promoted to sergeant. I finished my law enforcement career as the Sergeant of the department's Youth Services Section (YSS). This section has four officers a Community Service Officer and several Master Social Workers. We focused on school safety, running a youth diversion program, and providing resources to parents. The bottom line is we tried to keep kids safe and on the right track. In addition to overseeing YSS I supervised the department's Reserve Officer Program. Before going to YSS I spent three years as the Sergeant overseeing a patrol team. I also worked the following assignments, Patrol, SWAT, SWAT Sniper, Narcotics Detective, Narcotics K-9 Handler, Field Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, Mobile Field Force Member, Detective with the Investigative Services Section and now Sergeant. Our SWAT team was a part-team and I spent over 21 years on the team. I started as an operator and finished my time on the team as the team leader. I am also an NRA Certified rifle and shotgun instructor. When I was a Narcotics Detective I was also a professional speaker and I traveled through several states teaching law enforcement professionals about the Latest Teenage Drug Trends.

I was responsible for completing and documenting the investigations of homicide, felonyous assaults, robbery, burglary, organized retail theft, pimping, and prostitution.

Vacaville Police Department

I was resposible for training and documenting the progress of newly hired police officer, including lateral police officers and academy graduates.

I investigated narcotic sales cases. I worked as a primary investigating officer and as an undercover officer. I was certified in methamphetamine laboratories. I also taught classes nation wide on designer drugs and teenage drug trends.
