If you are fresh out of college and you want to understand retail, food service, "brick and mortar" Administration and Management, study, "dissect" a Profit and Loss Statement and be able to identify a business's issues by just looking. Then visit that location and from the time you can see the location, open your eyes, and observe and be able to see the root cause to positive aspects and negative "lines" on that P&L statement. Outside conditions, cleanliness, lighting of building (inviting/safe), "in-stock" position, cleanliness of the location. Engaged friendly employees, safe conditions (liability claims/comp. claims). These cannot be taught, and must be mastered through observation. Looking at all negative aspects of a business as OPPORTUNITIES for an immediate impact to Sales and Contribution. Competition, market saturation, even COVID related decreases in business can be over come by great service and creating a "destination" business through a great team. Looking for that opportunity to prove it!
