Through the years of working in construction my career goal has always been to keep learning new techniques, safer ways to implement different types of construction, and learn about new green materials. Learning is valuable to keep moving forward in a career and to keep challenging myself. Being a site superintendent has given me the chance to make schedules and follow through and deal with problems head on to move forward to finish on time. I enjoy Reading prints, building to spec while paying close attention to detail, then seeing how the project turns out. I am a member on our company safety committee so I have to keep my job site safe to OSHA standards. Keeping a professional relationship with subcontractors, our in house crews and suppliers is important and done daily. I keep good records of man hours, daily tasks and job progress. I have learn how to estimate materials, man hours and to stay within budget. I love what I do because I feel this is what I should be doing.
