I have 20+ years of employment in the heavy highway construction and engineering profession. My career path started as heavy equipment operator in 1999 where I gained experience on a variety of projects including county, municipal, residential development, sanitary landfill, and commercial project sites. In 2009 I decided to pursue higher education and four years later obtained my degree in civil engineering with honors. After college I went on to work for an engineering consulting firm where my duties included preforming design calculations, developing plans and specification, conducting plan review, and construction inspections. My passion for construction led me to my current role as a cost estimator where my responsibilities include project pursuits, conducting quantity take-offs, soliciting quotes, estimating project costs, and collaboration with estimating team(s) and clients to develop cost saving design concepts and construction techniques.
