About Todd Fleming

As Technical Manager - Self-unloading systems, my primary role is to monitor and survey the self-unloading equipment i.e. conveyor drives, belting and steel supporting structures on all eighteen self-unloading vessels within the Algoma fleet. These surveys are necessary to provide budgetary input to the fleet plan to allow decisions to be made on the short and long term viability of all self-unloading equipment and its cost. On a day-to-day basis, technical support is provided to the Operations department and vessel Chief Engineers resolving any technical concerns related to self-unloading equipment.Also having participated as a member of the Marine Emergency Response Plan after hours support team, support was provided directly to the vessels during emergency situations while ensuring regulatory authorities were duly notified of the situation(s).

  • Provide input on projects being developed by the Technical Development Group regarding design and fabrication of self-unloading systems on the existing fleet and new builds.
