As the Marketing and Communications Manager, I oversee the Hazelwood marketing department. I manage the marketing team to support the individual needs of each of our companies. My responsibilities include developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans. I work alongside each of our companies General Managers, to develop communications to improve customer experiences with Hazelwood’s product and service offerings.The job is complex, as there are multiple companies under the Hazelwood umbrella - and multiple brands that must be balanced with Hazelwood’s. Prior to Hazelwood, I was an entrepreneur. I understand how entrepreneurial companies work, and why speed, agility and simplicity are key. That’s something I try to reflect in our brand and marketing work. I studied both internet production and digital media at Vancouver Island University, earning both an Associate Degree in Internet Production, and a BA Digital Media Studies.
