Principal Engineer-responsible for ensuring all hardware operations and virtual measurements for all RF Synthetic instruments in support of RMD

Manages and Controls all services provided to Viavi Solutions customers, in support of Synthetic Test Instruments, and T/R modules, including RFMTS in the testing of commercial Satellites, and Transmit/Receive Modules for THAAD, MEADS, and PATRIOT Missile Defense Systems. Manages a pool of Engineers responsible for customer support. Primary Field Service Engineer in support of ATE Test Systems. On a daily basis, fields calls and emails and responds within a designated response time limit, helping customers with technical problems regarding their ATE, ranging from 10Mhz to 40Ghz. Includes the remote diagnosing of customer equipment problems and directing activities, returning ATE systems to full capability.Travels to customer sites to troubleshoot system problems, performs preventive maintenance activities and training. Proficient in the use of test equipment, including PNA and VNA Network Analyzers, PSA Spectrum Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, Power Sensors/Meters, Multi-meters.Creates and delivers customer surveys to assess customer satisfaction. Performs follow up reviews with customers.Prepares and delivers quotes to customers for the purchase of services, parts, training, and software. Manages customers preventive maintenance cycles.Manages Aerospace Customers prepaid Support Plans, tracking and analyzing costs and expenses.

Supervised 7 Test Engineers in the testing and integration of Satellite/TRM Module Test Stations, overseeing on time test completion, Quality Assurance Inspections and finalized test data review for final customer documentation.Trains and manages daily test operations of unit level RF testing and integration.Completed Employee Evaluations and performance reviews. Managed all test equipment for calibration cycles and repairs.Produced unit test schedules using Microsoft Project for Program Managers.

Performs and designs testing and system integration on Satellite and Transmit/Receive Module Virtual Test Instruments.Designs, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs Synthetic Virtual Instruments assemblies, including Upconverters, Downconverters , IF units, Digitizers, and various VXI/PXI cards and PCB’sLiaison to Engineering Manager and Assembly Manufacturing Group, providing multiple factory problem solutions.

Directs electronic and mechanical activities of 13 Radar sites with the Department of Defense and Customs. Provides Field Service support in the maintenance of Radars and Aerostat structural integrity.Supervises 4 employees in a Maintenance Control Center, managing 13 Aerostat's altitude height and changes. Also manages Aerostat site maintenance activities and provides technical support for the Department of Defense, Customs, and the FAA, in a control center, manned 24 hours, 365 days a year.Provides technical presentations to Program Director and USAF Program Commanders, including deviation summary and trend analysis reports for radar and support systems.Assists in proposal development and technical publication reviews for new program RFP's.

Performs electronics maintenance actions for the FAA, Customs, Navy, and the USAF, long range radar systems, Communications, Telemetry, and Ground-Air-Ground Radios.Operates test equipment to troubleshoot and isolate fault conditions down to component level. Provided assistance in maintaining radars in local and remote areas and directed appropriate maintenance action.Monitors all incoming data circuits, communications, and AWACS links.
