Responsible for facilitating aviation course ground school, and Tactical Operations (TACOPS) Officer academic instruction under the direction of the Aviation Institute. Responsible for performing duties as a Platform Instructor for initial qualification of helicopter pilots, and TACOPS officers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, academic instruction, hands-on performance training, evaluations to ensure student proficiency and adherence to academic standards, maintaining student academic records and POI technical writing / software / course ware development and periodic revisions as necessary. Must be able to perform duties in a culturally sensitive environment and maintain a professional approach, attitude, and appearance at all times.

Responsible for ensuring that Operations Team Members are adequately trained and developed to perform their assigned duties in an efficient, effective, and safe manner. The Training Manager supervises all classroom and field-based training events and supports the Standardization Program with training materials utilized to facilitate currency and proficiency training.RESPONSIBILITIES• Ensure instructors are knowledgeable on all course material and can academically facilitate their instruction in a classroom and / or field environment.• Ensure Instructors meet the highest level of proficiency for each system they are qualified to operate and instructor on• Oversee the development of course materials that will provide students with a detailed understanding of training subjects and processes• Support the Standardization Program by developing curriculum for re-current and proficiency training• Maintain current knowledge of OEM documentation and training requirements as well as regulatory changes to ensure training being developed and ultimately delivered to students is as current as is possible. • Provide oversight and technical assistance to instructors before, during, and after all classroom training, field training, practical exercises, exams, and evaluations• Serve as the primary Business Development point of contact for the training program• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the Standardization / Safety Officer• Ensure all training material is current and readily accessible to the instructors• Ensure that the simulations equipment is current and operational• Coordinate with the Operations Manager as necessary to provide instructor support for operations

Manages the Flight Operations Program for a multitalented team of more than 25 sUAS pilots. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to, flight operations, flight safety, risk management and mitigation, certification, training and flight time tracking, aircraft and mission profile currency. Experience using Aviation Mission Planning Systems (AMPS), Sky Vector, Falcon View, Cloud Cap Piccolo Command Center, PIX4D, APM Mission Planner, DJI Assistant, GO, GO4 and Pilot.SELECTIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS• Managed the Flight Operations Program for over 25 sUAS Pilots accident and incident free• Conducts flight operations including, but not limited to counter UAS operations, 2D and 3D mapping, structural inspection, cinematography, UXO range sweeping, and aerial photography• Conducts platform instruction on multiple sUAS systems produced by various manufactures• Conducts formal classroom presentations and performs field flight training to train commercial entities, U.S. military, government agencies, and foreign military customers on all aspects of sUAS ground and air procedures to include flight operations, mission planning, airspace management, mapping, and safety• Conducts classroom and flight operations to support Instructor Pilot Program (IPP)
