Serves as the Human Resources Specialist (Military) for the G1 Military Personnel Division (MPD). Manages the military personnel programs for the Communications-Electronic Command and provides technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of military Human resource Programs; which include but are not limited to personnel actions, leaves, finance actions, and military training. Interprets, develops and completes staff assignments covering a diverse range of Military Human Resource Programs. Serves as Senior Engineer Advisor for the Hawaiian National Guard in planning, preparing, and resourcing their training. Help ensure that the Unit training was battle focused and in line with the guidance issued by their higher headquarters. Coordinate for outside support in the form of Observer-Controller-Trainers (OC/Ts) for their externally evaluated lanes and annual training. Often, assisted the OC/Ts in planning and resource this training, as well as issuing the operations orders and maneuver graphics for these exercises. Also play a vital role in planning and preparing yearly training briefs that culminate in annual training, combat training center rotations, and/or real-world deployments. Assisted in the planning, preparation, and execution of training at all levels for the supported RC unit to ensure that the unit is ready to deploy when the nation calls. Helped educate the Reserve and National Guard Component Soldiers and leaders. Taught officer and NCO professional development and other classes; assisted platoon leaders, platoon sergeants, and junior NCOs in devising training for their soldiers; and even have the opportunity to develop soldiers on an individual level. Assisted the supported Reserve and National Guard Component in training, evaluating, and validating platoon leaders, platoon sergeants, and company commanders, focusing on their ability to issue operations orders, conduct troop-leading procedures, give after-action reviews, and conduct proper risk assessments. Provided military occupational specialty (MOS)-specific training assistance to the leaders and soldiers of the unit. Focused efforts in planning, executing, and evaluating battle focused training to improve the combat effectiveness of the company/battalion/brigade and to reduce post mobilization training time.
