Navigates through electronic medical records and ability to understand medical history related to potential organ, eye, and tissue donation.• Able to locate and document progress notes, doctor’s orders, lab results, medications, and EMR run reports in order to help determine organ suitability.• Able to locate and document palliative, chaplain and social worker notes to help navigate and optimize the opportunity for early family interactions, education and donation conversations.• Advises staff when working through referral challenges by providing mentoring, talking points, coaching and onsite support.• Prepare and provides daily Organ activity report to the clinical teams and leadership.• Communicates relevant referral / case information to the appropriate staff.• Responsible for answering general policy questions related to donor identification, evaluation, authorization, brain death testing, and review of brain death testing accordance to hospital policy.
