Responsible for defining and implementing Cost Optimization, Secure Access, and DevOps for Azure Managed Experience for the following enterprise customers: Kodak Alaris, Applied Energy Services, Komatsu, Active Directory Managed Services (ADMS), and Nuance. Key Achievements• Created custom dashboards in Cloudyn, used Advisor recommendations, and scripts to save Kodak Alaris $93,268 annually.• Created Cost Management Dashboards in Azure that get published and refreshed daily through an Azure DevOps release definition across 10 subscriptions saving $78,363 annually for ADMS and 10 hours per month of effort. • Created a Devops pipeline on Azure Onebranch for resources deployed to our internal subscriptions used to manage customer resources. Key component to meeting ISO 27001 controls and GDPR.• Cross tenant secure access model (V1 & V2) to enable other Azure Managed experiences delivering Just In Time (JIT) and Just Enough Administration (JEA) functionality through Azure Delegated Resource Management and Privileged Identity Management groups. • Delivered Configuration as Code MVP for deployments to customer environments. • Coded automated VM resize in conjunction with monthly security patches. Contributed to porting this over to “Auto Managed VM”.

Product and technical design, architecture and program management for ARM Yourself! a standard template repository available through the native Azure portal and supporting DevOps scenarios, and internal Azure optimization to eliminate wasteful internal cloud spending and accelerate external cost optimization product offerings.ARM Yourself!• Coded initial examples, published this to external Github repository, and enabled usage both natively through the Azure portal and from DevOps scenarios leading to monthly usage of ~1300 resource deployed and an additional ~2000 resources building on top of our code.• Led customer workshops across organizations to educate, capture feedback, and build a community of over 1019 users with 4 community code submissions across all Microsoft.• Used telemetry and user voice to quantify and prioritize impactful features. Presented results to the leadership team resulting in the deprecation of custom tooling and replacement of 20 person vendor team.• EBC presenter for “ARM at Scale” and “Infrastructure as Code” topics for enterprise customers (BASF, KPMG, LinkedIn, Chevron, Intel).Cost Optimization• Released Start/Stop VMs during off-hours in Azure Automation solution resulting in 7529 active users and ~1.8 million actions per month. • Mark Russinovich tweeted about this project.• Presented at TechReady, Microsoft Virtual Academy, and wrote samples for Managed Applications

Program manager for Enterprise Commerce which delivers volume licensing for Microsoft customers and processes $50-60 billion in revenue per year. Implemented CI/CD framework and automation heatmap tracking for each application component.• Partnered with SDO Development team to create the Windows Azure Pack resource provider which is now project Beanstalk. Resulting in single view for managing private and public cloud assets. • Partnered with development team to create Self-Service Configuration which is adopted by all channels in ECIT. Enforces centralized configuration storage, reduce developer effort, improves quality, and reduced build packaging time saving an estimated 6000 hours per year of effort.• Created automated BVT framework leveraged across NGVL and Bedrock for 1-click deployments. This saved an estimated 4000 hours per year by automating this task.• Implemented 1 month scrums, and eventually moved from scrum master to product owner to better set direction and priority based on business value. Introduced product management framework for vision to market and opportunity assessment.• Implemented quarterly steering team meeting across development, SE, and Build & Deploy leadership featuring updates from our senior product team contacts to gain consensus and alignment.• Created the Automation Heatmap for executive review of each business process overlaid by functional area, metric, and score for each channel. Consumed monthly by our leadership and used to assess progress and set direction.

Led a team of 4-5 FTE Service Engineers and 2-6 vendors. Evaluated and measured team performance. Built relationships across application owners and had a WHI of 92% which was the highest in our business unit of 500+ people.• Jointly conceived of the idea to extend GFS Services to Azure Applications (GSAA) late October 2010 which is essentially a hybrid cloud solution bridging on-premise with Azure utilizing directory services for identity and authentication. Contributed design to GFS Technology Roadmap.• Influenced leadership across Azure, Online Services Security & Compliance, and Business Group Engagement to sign on as project sponsors to the Project Charter.• Lead weekly vteam meetings across 8 separate internal teams to extend the following services: directory services, turnkey OSSC MBI compliance, monitoring, incident management, dual-factor remote access, backups, VM Role images, and mail relay as a successful proof of concept.• Created a recurring chalk talk program for deep dives into areas of technology resulting in 15-20 FTEs attending per session, improved cross group collaboration, and improvement of technical skill sets across many teams.• Create the program and templates around Engineering Review Panels for applications that could not move to Azure.• Applications supported: SQL Azure, Windows Azure AppFabric, Mesh, Pinpoint, Windows Live Solutions Center
