For over 25 years, I have been designing innovative and human-centered energy education and energy management programming along with clean energy workforce programming for disadvantaged communities. My services are utilized by K-12 schools, public housing authorities, utilities, and government agencies. In 2002, I founded Energy Training Solutions (ETS), which has become a national leader in building occupant engagement, technical support services and building operator training. Energy service companies (ESCO's) entrust our services with hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of performance guarantees. In 2022, I founded GreenPath Alliance, which works with disadvantaged communities to create pathways to green collar careers. We provide real-world, STEM-based learning experiences for middle and high school students that give exposure to careers in building performance and renewable energy and then connect them to established workforce development agencies that meet in-demand, green collar employment needs. Developing Building Science curricula designed to prepare students for certification through the Building Performance Institute. Materials developed under NYSERDA’s Home Performance with Energy Star Program and Multifamily Performance Partners Program. Establishing and managing a statewide K-12 Energy Education program in partnership with the National Energy Education Development Project (NEED) and NYSERDA. Provided or managed training for over 2,000 NY State teachers.Directing development of and implementing KiloWatch, a K-12, student-led behavioral energy management program. Facilitated site-based teams leading to 10% savings in affected buildings while providing a STEM-based, career-connected leadership experience for students. Establishing an energy training department for a major U.S. energy service company. Developed nationwide energy education and training programs.
