I started a non-profit charity to raise money for survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence and human trafficking. As a survivor of sexual abuse at the age of 12, I understand firsthand the feelings of vulnerability and isolation that victims face. Forty years ago, the support systems we have today were not available, leaving many survivors like myself to suffer in silence. Thankfully, there are now organizations I have collaborated with which offer invaluable resources and programs for those affected by these unspeakable acts. I established the International Therapist Fund to ensure that these incredible organizations already making a difference have access to the necessary funds to provide survivors with prompt,effective therapy. Enabling victims to see licensed therapists, we can help mend the emotional wounds and empower them on their journey towards healing and reclaiming their lives. Owned and operated Intelligent Chicken on Northwestern Highway in Farmington Hills. Developed catering menu for corporate clients and integrated delivery for those customers. This aspect of the business was an immediate success. I eventually sold the restaurant and started Intelligent Catering to continue to work with my corporate clients which was always my favorite aspect of owning the restaurant.
