Visual Software applications are used by government institutions to capture, consolidate and communicate data for K-12 students from the school level to the reporting agency. All Visual Software applications were built using Microsoft .NET Framework, with ASP.NET Web Application serving as user interface, web services implementing a well-defined API for data exchange, with persistent storage hosted by one or more of the following: Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server on Azure, AWS/Amazon RDS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle 19c, or Oracle Cloud Autonomous Transaction Processing.In addition to my role as developer, I also provided second level software support and development services for dozens of client implementations. Notable among these was a large, ongoing state-wide data consolidation project that implemented the Schools Interoperability Framework standard to aggregate and report on student data from over 400 school districts located across the state. Each implementation is different. Many have required the creation of additional web services to exchange data with whatever applications are in use at each client site. Recent examples include a custom ASP.NET Web API/REST service secured with OAuth, a successful integration with Oracle ORDS and a WCF Web Service that synchronized new student data with Microsoft Active Directory. I have also recently created new student roster app using Angular 7 and Bootstrap.
