As part of this immersive opportunity, I dedicate 5 days a week to this hands-on role for the UB Bulls Football team. My primary responsibility is to meticulously capture the team's practices on video, ensuring that the footage serves as a valuable resource for player and coach review, facilitating the team's education and development. This involves making split-second decisions on when to focus, zoom, pan and cut, all while identifying key plays and strategic areas of the field that require attention. Understanding the importance of shot composition came naturally to me, and I had to quickly acquire the necessary skills and techniques. I not only sharpened my technical proficiency in camerawork, but also developed a strong understanding of the role that visual documentation plays in sports education and analysis of performance.
