I grew up in the Credit Union industry and have provided legal/ compliance assistance to FIs for 38-years. My wife has been the executive officer at a Credit Union for nearly 20-years. I also have the benefit of a firm that supports me and our clients who also have a decidedly Credit Union background with Christy having provided services to Credit Unions for nearly 20-years; and Suzanne having also grown up in a Credit Union family with her father serving as Board Chairman for Delta Community Credit Union for many years. We instill the values and ethics of our industry into our younger associates as well. Christy and I came from a large law firm to establish our current practice in 2003. Together, our lawyers have 115-years of Credit Union experience. We provide our services differently from most. We ask our clients to participate in a pool in a manner akin to the insurance industry. We have done this for 35-years and find it works very well as we know not every Credit Union is going to wreck the family vehicle on the same day. Thus, we can price much lower than any competition, usually 1/3rd to ½ below what other providers charge. Thus, it’s a good model that puts the incentive for efficiency on us while providing a fair plan for quality assistance to participants. We also have several methods of sharing for the benefit of participants. From list-servs to a library of nearly 300 WebEx programs included in our retainer pool of clients, which saves the average participant $12,500 just on the educational budget. Generally, the firm is dedicated to serving all legal needs of regulated financial institutions; and provides day-to-day compliance, compliance auditing, training and consulting services to FIs throughout the United States
