Warrior & Family Support Manager
CurrentOversees three key programs—Ombudsman, Command Individual Augmentation Coordinator (CIAC), and Yellow Ribbon—ensuring effective policy interpretation, implementation, and budget management.✔ Provides expert guidance on program issues to Navy Reserve claimants and Commanding Officers, delivering policy interpretation, information, referrals, and training.✔ Maintains relationships with other military branches, DoD, and professional communities to incorporate cutting-edge practices and address deployment and family support challenges.✔ Acts as the Navy Reserve's representative in DoD and civilian community meetings, participating in monthly Telcons with Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP), Commander Naval Installation Command (CNIC), and US Fleet Forces (USFF) for IA deployments and Reserve updates.✔ Leeds event planning and fund approval for Yellow Ribbon events, enhancing support for service members and families during separations and deployments.✔ Actively participates in the CIAC working group with USFF, adapting policies to current deployment conditions.✔ Serves as the TYCOM coordinator between CNIC and the Navy Reserve Force, ensuring seamless integration and support.✔ Manages the development and execution of Family Readiness Programs, including pre-deployment, deployment, and reintegration events such as Deployment Readiness Training (DRT)s and Returning Warrior Workshop (RWW)s.✔ Assesses Yellow Ribbon program effectiveness, analyzed issues, identified best practices, and provided actionable recommendations for improvement.✔ Provides ongoing education, coaching, and counseling to WFSPs and YRRPs, enhancing support for the Navy Reserve Force.✔ Represents the Navy Reserve in OSD meetings, Joint Working Groups, and helped shape YRRP policy with all service components.✔ Manages two Yellow Ribbon contracts, including reviewing invoices, receipts, and payments for national events, and filled in as Yellow Ribbon Program Director when needed.
