Lead all aspects of an $8 million-dollar manufacturing operation managing over 100 key personnel in Sales, Engineering, Human Resources, Customer Service, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Shipping. Direct, coordinate, and review all activities in the sale and manufacturing of wire harnesses, cables assemblies, box builds, panel assemblies, and engineering services. Manage key strategic customer accounts, review all RFQ’s, EAU’s, tooling requirements, sales forecasts, bookings, and billings. Prepare budgets, sales forecasts, review and submit tooling and equipment appropriation requests to BOD. Resolve production planning, scheduling, engineering changes, quality, shipping delivery and customer service related issues. Oversee activities directly related to the manufacturing of wire harnesses, battery cables, panel and box assemblies as well as engineering services. Collaborate with customer engineering teams to understand customer requirements to promote the sale of wire harnesses, battery cables, panel assemblies and engineering services. Confer with plant and operation engineers to assess product tooling and equipment requirements to support customer requirements. Recommend alternative raw materials or design recommendations to customer engineers and commodity managers, document and present how changes lower costs, improve quality and reduce warranty claims. Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency. Review financial statements, sales goals, internal reports, and other KPI’s to measure productivity and goal achievement to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement. Diagnose and troubleshoot customer issues with installed harnesses on site or in the field. Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties. Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, review with the BOD. Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire, train new employees, and oversee all Human Resources. Implement and maintain ISO, and environment management systems. Resolve vendor and customer grievances, and any claims against company. Review purchase orders and contracts for conformance to company policy. Identify and arrange for liquidation of excess or obsoleted raw, WIP, or finished goods or materials. Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and benefits.
