Worked with 6 or 7 of clients over the years. Earlier work was focused more on traditional Java/Spring MVC. In the last 4 years the tech focus was nodejs/AngularJS or Angular 2+.

Java UI/Backend (MVC) development of applications to help Fund managers/analysts make decisions about stocks. Also an application that was used quarterly to determine the rate of return on different analyst's portfolios.

Lead engineer - Designed(UML)/developed various intranet J2EE applications and J2SE applications. The applications included: data services to distribute data from investments to the rest of the enterprise, applications to update and maintain account information, applications to generate online reports, and web services to distribute NM investment data to an ASP (Morningstar) for use by NM financial representatives.Mentored and directed developers in construction and design of J2EE applications, Unix scripting. Worked with other members of the data team on design and development of data ETLs (Extract, Transform, Load) and Unix scripts to load ODS, warehouse, and data mart. Also consulted with the data architects to design various databases and database components.

Trained in a 1 1/2 month "Web Developers Bootcamp." The class covered: Universal Modeling Language, Object Oriented Design Patterns, and Java/JSP/HTML/Javascript programming. Following that I worked in the IS department supporting the Internet Marketing department of Northwestern Mutual. Worked with senior developers on J2SE, J2EE, HTML, JSP, and javascript design and development concepts. Low level design and development of different components on J2EE applications: nmfn.com and an application called the “field web site builder”. The nmfn.com application is the internet facing website for NM. The field web site builder allowed financial advisors build/publish their own standardized websites based on various templates and customization options.
