About Todd Harry
I have been working in the video games industry since 2007 as an animator. I've been in lead roles as an animator and technical roles as a rigger. I'll take on any role to get the right feel for the project I am on, but I'm best on the animation team. I work in a wide range of styles from realistic to stylized animation in cinematic scenes or cycles. I collaborate well with team members to achieve any goal, quality and efficiency are always on my mind. I am always thinking of new ways to bring life and story to characters, I think these are key to making an animation interesting and unique. When I'm not at my desk I keep a mindful eye out for movement of people and objects in an effort to better understand the beautiful art of animation.I've worked mainly in Maya, Unity, Photoshop and take to new software very quickly, a little hot key knowledge goes a long way. I play around with many other programs on my spare time and am always eager to learn something new. More important than my current knowledge is my ability to obtain it, I learn quickly and rarely get stuck on any one problem.
Listed skills include Maya, Character Animation, Animation, Video Games, and 13 others.

Senior Animator
At Studio Wildcard I work on character and creature animations for ongoing DLC releases for ARK Survival Ascended. I'm creating realistic, believable motion on historical critters and mythological beasts, often engaging with other animators and members of the rigging and tech art team as well as gameplay engineers to ensure characters perform at their best.
Lead Animator
FishyTale Digital is a startup based out of Bellevue WA, and as such I played many more roles than just Senior Animator here. I took on a lead role, managing schedules and outsourced animation as well as animating real-time cinematic scenes for multiple characters. Some of my other duties included prototyping and testing of new characters, implementing animations into the engine, rigging and skinning characters and processing motion capture data. In a small nimble team setting it was important to communicate effectively to the Art Director, Producer and at times CEO, to ensure we were all headed in the right direction to deliver the companies first project.
Senior Animator (Contract)
I played an integral part in creating animations for realistically proportioned characters for a never released project with the intent of showcasing unity's abilities as a real time VR game engine. I collaborated with other members of the animation team to ensure all work was completed efficiently and up to standards. This was a 360 degree virtual reality short film, so there needed to be something to look at from all vantage points. Touched base with engineers and animation adjacent art teams in order to ferret out needs for scheduling, and implementation of assets. VR was a totally different creature than standard console development.
Character Animator (Contract)
Project Spark is a game that lets players do anything, which can make for some creative problem solving. Due to the nature of the project all characters had to be playable, some animations needed multiple uses and all animations needed to read from all angles with many different silhouettes. I was responsible for animating new characters and polishing old ones. I was key in helping to prototype new gameplay mechanics and conceptual characters. I worked with the art and creative directors to produce a 30 second promotional piece to be shown at E3. I learned to implement new characters and animations into the game engine, adjust attack volumes and blend times, to make all characters not only look good but feel good to play. I contributed to animation team critique and gave feedback when needed on models during skinning phase.
Animator/Technical Artist (Contract)
I helped to quickly setup a prototype project, which included; rigging, animating and implementing temporary assets, working closely with programmers and directors to ensure that the prototype setup would result in less waste. Once the prototype was done I worked with an offsite modeler to help establish a model delivery pipeline and participated in animation related model critique/brainstorm. I rigged the final model and supported the rig to add any requested features/bug fixes/model changes. In an effort to minimize impact when my contract ended, I documented any common procedure I had done for the project to help any member of the team that might need take on future tasks related to the animation/prop pipeline.
Animator
Molecule Machine was a small team of artists and designers. I animated and rigged comic book style player and non-player characters on an unreleased side scrolling platformer. I also contributed to design and story.
Animator
Glu Mobile purchased Griptonite Games in August 2011 and as a result I was retained through the transition. I was responsible for most of the rigging and shared animation for the teams I was on. I worked in many different styles of animation from stylized to realistic. Participated in prototyping and early stages of development. Here, I had to adapt quickly and help streamline the animation process in the Unity Game engine. I collaborated with other animators and programmers to ensure the most efficient ways to implement game assets.
Animator
Griptonite Games was a sister studio of Amaze Entertainment within the same building that I transferred to in March of 2009 that focused on handheld 3rd party content. I worked with licensed titles to ensure brand continuity and overall quality. I took on more responsibilities as an animator, shorter development cycles and smaller teams. It was my job to define how the feel of animations for the projects I was on. Because handhelds have smaller screens, it was imperative that all animations read from far away with very low joint counts. I took on a lead role when on a team of other animators helping to create schedules and managing time and expectations. When on teams as the only animator I had to be diligent and self motivated.
Animator
This was a keyframe studio. Much of this job was staying ahead of a tight animation schedule and creating believable lifelike animation. I worked on licensed titles here so it was important to capture the correct feel of each brand. I was called on when animations needed to be done extra quickly while still retaining the desired quality. I was on large teams with several animators so collaboration and thoughtful input were all part of the process. I learned a lot about having client/publisher relationships while working here.
