Synapse.ai was an angel-funded, Stanford StartX accelerator company. We were developing an enterprise virtual assistant solution that enabled mobile professionals to access the information they needed while on-the-go with an easy to use and intuitive voice and text interface.As an early engineer (employee #4) at a small company, the job involved a little bit of everything: writing backend services with REST APIs to provide various functions, setting up and defining ElasticSearch clusters, configuring and using Kaldi for speech recognition, iOS development, deployment automation, NLP and rudimentary DSP in python.
