Todd Bressler was a partner in Peckar & Abramson’s Los Angeles office with responsibilities that included oversight of the firm’s California offices. Mr. Bressler advised general contractors, construction managers, general engineering contractors, owners, developers and property managers on contract negotiations, risk management and disputes. Mr. Bressler’s practice also focused on defending Employment Practices Liability and Director & Officers claims in a number of industries, which included the resident care, food service and construction markets.• Litigation: Developed and implemented risk management, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation strategies (from pre-litigation through discovery, trial and settlement) in the construction, real estate and employment arenas; first chaired multiple trials (jury and court) and arbitrations • Transactional: Analyzed, drafted and negotiated construction agreements between private owners and local, state and federal governments, and architects, engineers, general contractors and construction managers; counsel clients regarding delivery methods and procurement procedures• Employment: Counseled employers regarding termination strategies, avoiding discrimination claims, general employment practices including wage and hour and compensation issues, discipline, leaves of absence, employment contracts, arbitration agreements and work-place investigations• Compliance/Regulatory: Conducted internal investigations designed to detect corporate misconduct and evaluate complex regulations created by government contracting• Management/Oversight: Supervised, managed and trained all attorneys, paralegals and staff in three California offices; served as Chairperson of Peckar & Abramson's Education and Training Committee responsible for developing and implementing training programs for all attorneys and paralegals firm-wide• Board of Directors: Member, Southern California Development Forum
