Solid 20 year background in all aspects of information technology; server operating systems, networking, application support, desktop operating systems, leadership positions and the necessary interpersonal skills needed to interact professionally with users and vendors. After a successful 20 year IT career I've taken some time for deeper dives into network analysis (netmon,wireshark) and scripting (Powershell). The Purpose: As I have an in-depth understanding of what is under the hood of operating systems, networking devices and application activities, I'm moving into gaining an absolute knowledge of troubleshooting using the actual conversations between devices using network tools and being able to manipulate these activities by developing scripts to understand, fix and streamline processes. This knowledge allows for an easier and quicker assessment of issues on a global basis without regard for product make and/or model. The philosophy behind this is: Once you understand the language and therefore the conversation you become a translator for everyone involved in the chain of devices from the data to the user and can assist support personnel between any endpoints. This is truly imperative in assessing user issues.
