• The goal was to reduce the hours and money spent by staff gathering documentation for the specialist (physician) referral review process. The legacy process involved cumbersome fax machines and massive amounts of paper documents that were often lost or unreadable.• Developed a Windows service(C#) to read incoming faxes using barcode technologies. This dramatically increased the speed of approvals, down from days to hours, and the eReferral department was able to process more referrals with fewer staff while also saving a significant amount of money by not having to deal with fax machines, maintenance, and paper costs.• Solely responsible for the research, architecture, development, and project estimate (hours, timeline, budget), project management, QA, and testing for the application.

• Enhanced existing Tax Content Management System (TCMS), including paragraph history, search and replace, Acrobat memory issues, and zipping and unzipping of PDF and XML files for faster transmission during tax season.• Configured and maintained source control for a team of four developers.• Created live working mockups for the enhanced intranet project using AJAX and web parts for the executive team.• Creation of complex reports for the executive team utilizing Reporting Services.

• Designed and architected a .NET web application named Case Management for use by Ventura County Investigators.• Defined and wrote coding standards based on industry best practices for .NET development for the existing development team.• Mentored five junior .NET developers on the team and guided them on how to use SVN, developed C# language tutorials, and how the web works and differs from their current system of choice, PowerBuilder.

• Wrote custom functions(C#) used within the Medidata RAVE EDC system for clinical trials. Custom functions are complex edit checks based on Reverse Polish Notation (RPN).• Defined department wide processes for writing custom functions and providing training to end users on how to write custom functions.• Wrote an ‘Intro to C#’ programming guide for non-programmers to familiarize themselves with the language and use it within the Medidata RAVE website.
