Designing the data architecture and creating all the ETL processes with reuse of packages, monitoring, scalability, and maintenance in mind.• Upgrade an existing SSIS SQL Server 2008 R2 production environment to SQL 2016. Helped instruct client with Backup/Recover and High Availability strategies. Designed reports in Reporting Services to help the client be able to view much of the above information above in a more condensed form as well as custom alerts in SQL Agent.Project: Meditech Implementation and MaintenanceBegan as a part of the reports deployment team (SSRS). Transitioned over to a more diverse role involving database administration, data integration, writing custom web interfaces, dashboards, windows services, and mentoring employees. Designed several dashboards (website, data integration, and backends) to feed in data from vendor tools to monitor systems and analyze data from multiple systems.Project: SMILE – Hospital Productivity Data WarehouseFour year project involving bringing data together across various systems for 13 hospitals (Meditech, Epic, Peoplesoft, custom applications). Data integration was accomplished with SSIS and the reporting front-end was the Cognos tool. Designed and wrote the system top to bottom as well as maintained the system making adjustments and development as required. Worked in the Data Resources department creating reports based on information requested by the client using Microsoft Access 2000 and Excel 2000. Acquired the data for the reports from a Tandem mainframe server using SQL. Wrote several scripts in VBA (Access 2000 and Excel 2000) to automate the creation of reports. Exported the reports to a PDF file and sent to the client either via FTP or via CD-ROM.
