I am currently employed as a member of the Marketing team for the largest hotel operation in Manitoba. I am responsible for the Marketing activities and initiatives across the Canad Inns master brand as well as the numerous sub-brands within the Canad Inns family. I was previously employed at an online pharmacy based in Winnipeg. I was responsible for providing exceptional customer service while increasing revenue for the company by promoting products and services to their customer base. I also worked on the Medicare team where I was responsible for capturing additional revenue from previous patients they had lost due to the introduction of Medicare Part D in the United States. This experience equipped me with excellent personal selling skills as well as effective sales techniques. I also held a project management role in the revamping of their online chat service with the objective to shift it from a customer service based initiative to a sales driven initiative.

The Faculty of Education had a research grant where the reading patterns of young males (ages 8-10) were examined. As a research assistant, I regularly read with the students as well as provided regularly scheduled testing to assess changes in their abilities. This experience allowed me to gain excellence in organizational skills. We also had the opportunity to present our findings at the CSSE educational conference in Saskatoon, SK where I was able to hone my presentation skills by presenting our findings to scholars from across Canada.
