As an executive leader in the transit industry, I build, expand, and advance critical public mobility programs that increase my community’s access to opportunities. I have dedicated my career to helping people at all socioeconomic levels—especially those of us who are most vulnerable—and work hard to bring about positive change in the areas of social justice, economic development, and community outreach. With unshakeable integrity and optimistic outlook, I work to build support for meaningful projects and achieve good outcomes for all.Career Highlights:✔ At Island Transit, I initiated six major capital and service projects to provide more accessible, sustainable, and affordable transit services. Through visionary leadership and good financial stewardship, I secured the necessary funding to initiate these transformative improvements.✔ Previously, I delivered equally impactful initiatives at Intercity Transit and Community Transit that expanded bus, paratransit, and vanpool, and services to new neighborhoods, strengthened public reputation, and dramatically increased available financial resources.✔ In 2024, I was the only transit representative invited to testify on rural transportation challenges in front of a Congressional committee. My testimony elevated the value of public transit and the role it plays in our communities across the country.✔ I partnered with industry leaders nationwide to create The Bus Coalition, an advocacy organization working to increase access to bus transport services. In 2024, we achieved a 423% increase in the multibillion-dollar federal Buses & Bus Facilities grant program.✔ As a practicing lawyer, I advocated for Americans in my community by providing access to good legal counsel and defense. Although I haven’t practiced law in several years, I am still licensed to practice law.
