About Todd Tracy
In 1994, Todd Tracy began his public career with Southeastern Illinois Regional Planning & Development Commission as their Economic Development Director where his interest was piqued in the growth and advancement of the business community. Todd served as the administrator of seven separate small business revolving loan funds for the five-county district the Planning Commission served.Moving from the Planning Commission, Todd progressed to Southeastern Illinois College in 1999 as their Assistant Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Director and in 2003 was chosen as the Director of the SBDC at Kaskaskia College. In 2006, culminating the Center’s achievements, the State of Illinois awarded Kaskaskia College an International Trade Center (ITC,) selecting Todd as its first Director. During his tenure in the Illinois SBDC network, he directed the counselling of over 2000 clients, piloted more than 300 start-ups and expansions, and originated the non-profit corporation, South Central Illinois Growth Alliance. Todd embraced his personal goals and departed the Illinois SBDC network to launch Trusted Biz Solutions, his personal consultancy firm.For the next decade, Trusted Biz Solutions provided consulting services specifically to businesses in the area of organizational improvement, business planning/forecasting, and management training. Along the way, TBS became an originating partner in inAlliance, LLC, Springfield, IL, to deliver training, planning, and implementation resources to historic and Mainstreet© communities at sites across the Midwest. Largely, TBS was contracted to provide entrepreneurial and small business training to emerging and growing downtown business districts. Multiple success stories can be attributed to the work TBS performed with inAlliance.During the summer, 2019, Todd divulged his interest in Trusted Biz Solutions and inAlliance to settle in as the Executive Director for the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) of Jefferson County, Missouri. At the EDC, Todd oversaw the comprehensive Economic Development programs which included a Certified Development Company (CDC) and its SBA 504 Loan program along with the Industrial Development Authority. At the EDC, Todd continued his career in economic development, navigating public and private ventures, focusing on local community, regional, and personal growth. Todd led the city and county teams that brought in James Hardie, Inc. to Crystal City, MO.In 2023, Todd was named Executive Director of the Center for Workforce Development at East Central College, Union, MO.
