Greetings,I am a seasoned, senior-level leader with a rich background including multi-site operations, financial management, budgeting/forecasting, property management, employee training and development, facility/Environmental management, strategic planning, human resources, customer relations, regulatory compliance, and business development. For the past 15 years, I have held senior operations leadership roles in the senior living, skilled healthcare and long-term care industries. I have been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) since 2009. I also served as Deputy Division Administrator for the Health Facilities Division of the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals, the governmental entity that regulates healthcare facilities in the state of Iowa.Over this time, I have built a track record of building effective teams, enhancing overall efficiency of operations, improving quality, and achieving positive operational outcomes. My role as operational leader also includes interfacing and building productive partnerships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders at all levels, as well as community leaders, regulatory agencies, and industry partners. My educational background includes degrees in Biology, Pharmacy Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Buena Vista University where I graduated with Honors. My combined major was Psychology and Political Science with a minor in Administration. I have also earned two master's degrees.I served my country in the Medical Corps of the United States Air Force during Operation Desert Storm and as Staff Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of a battalion chaplain/morale/family support section at Camp Dodge with the Iowa Army National Guard.
