Ogden, Utah

Manage Occupational Health & Safety for a 1 million sq ft manufacturing facility.

Richmond, Utah

Direct all work processes for the PM Milano line. Manage production, safety, continuous improvement, and quality activities for the line.• Transitioned line to High Performing Organization.• Separated the line into four distinct functional teams. Empowered them to develop their own vision statements, leadership groups, and rules. • Created a Leadership Group comprised of the Captains of each functional team, backup Managers, and myself. This leadership group meets weekly for a planning session and leadership training.• Evolved into the most efficient line in the facility, reducing thrift to 43% of the other lines and indirect labor spending to 62% of the other lines.

Bloomfield, Connecticut

• Responsible for the development, implementation, and management for all safety-related aspects for a 365,000 sq. ft. bakery facility with a workforce of 300 employees and seasonal workers.• Direct Workers' Compensation activity maximizing cooperation between the Plant Medical Department, insurance carrier, and medical providers. Supervise Medical Department to ensure compliance with Corporate and regulatory standards.• Conduct and/or coordinate plant health and safety training in order to reduce injuries and comply with Corporate and regulatory standards.• Provide guidance to operating departments and work teams in implementing safety initiatives and projects; performs follow-up activities to ensure completion of open action items resulting from safety work orders, safety committee activity, and employee suggestions.• Analyze statistics to identify injury causes and supports facility efforts to prevent/reduce injuries based on trends.Key Accomplishments:• Developed Bloomfield’s first self-directed, cross-functional safety teams using HPO strategies.• Created a self-regulating safety risk reduction process using lean tools which being shared and implemented as a best practice across the Pepperidge Farm network.• Lead safety auditor for Campbell Soup/Pepperidge Farm network.• Created multimedia for Pepperidge Farm’s “Forklift/Pedestrian Safety” campaign (movie, posters, signage).

Richmond, Utah

• Member of Global Safety Audit Team responsible for LOTO, Ergonomics, and Medical Sections.• Managed OSHA compliance for the medical facility at the Richmond plant.• Engineered a laminator platform significantly decreasing the risk in the mixing operation.• Procured six WAVe lifts, reducing the need for ladders by 90%.• Safety Red Belt Program

• Revamped the reporting procedures of the Driver License Administrative Hearings. This included digitizing the audio recordings and using a secure intranet to electronically transfer typed and audio files to headquarters.• Created universal hearing forms in Microsoft Word used by all Hearing Officers in Utah. • Received recognition for dealing with difficult people and situations in a positive, professional manner.
