I also preside over the Dean of Technology position, which was primary and directed 25 professors and support staff in support of the Information Technology Department. In the absence of the President of Charter College, Anchorage I’ve been the acting president, which directs over 130 personnel.As the Dean of Technology I direct the assessment and development of academic programs within the College; both in Anchorage and Corporate wide. Preparing and revising, as necessary, academic program plans. Overseeing all personnel matters involving academic and non-academic employees including: recruiting, appointment, re-appointment; termination and dismissal; faculty evaluation, tenure, promotion and merit; and the preparation and approval of faculty workload plans and long-range professional development plans.Communicating effectively with various community advisory boards that meet bi-yearly regarding the college and the programs associated within Information Technology. Plan, develop, and educate our shareholders on the value of the Information Technology programs and what changes need to be developed as new technology emerges. Articulating Charter College policy and procedures (P&P) to members of the staff; directed by corporate, which documents compliance and understanding during staff meetings and in-service training that is conducted on a routine basis for employees. Direct the preparation of class schedules and complying with institutional reporting requirements that comply with accreditation requirements.
