Supervision extended to 36 staffers: photographers, copy editors, imaging technicians, graphic artists, layout editors, page designers and pagination technicians.Instituted Computer-Assisted Reporting program, using spreadsheet and database managers, internet and other resources; ·Established email- and World Wide Web-based retrieval and exchange systems for materials (photos and text) contributed for publication. This included creating and administering FTP server with passwords and protocols between the newspaper and its wire services, suppliers and correspondents and setting up agreements and contracts for external use of house-generated materials by other outlets. It also included setting of standards regarding size and quality of contributed materials;·Conceived and executed two Total Market Coverage products (Valley Life and Office Park News). HONORS: Regional and national Associated Press awards for directing breaking news coverage of fatal jet crash and Unabomber letter-bombing of Yale University professor.
