I managed the AmeriCorps program for YouthBuild of Northern Kentucky. Developed and directed programming for youths ages 7 to 17 that used the game of golf as a vehicle for teaching life skills, core values, and healthy habits. My responsibilities included managing a team of 11 head coaches and 60 volunteers in serving 600 children annually at six area golf courses, as well as creating partnerships with community organizations to deliver outreach programs to 6,000 youths at 30 locations. As Program Director, I coordinated all aspects of programming including facility access, scheduling, budgets, curriculum development, coach/volunteer recruitment, training, and evaluation in addition to organizing special events for participants, coaches, and volunteers. One of the most rewarding aspects of this job was the opportunity to mentor and coach students, and developing relationships with parents and families to support student learning.

Worked as part of a small crew that focused on constructing the Central Utility Plant for the Horseshoe Casino. This facility provided electricity, hot and cold water as well a food and material storage for the casino. My responsibilities included coordinating with coworkers and other trades as well as blueprint reading in order to install water chillers and boilers, switch gear, transformers and a conduit system that transferred power to the casino. I was also responsible for material management and performing the day to day work of installing these systems in manner that satisfied the National Electrical Code and satisfied the customer.

Installed and troubleshot the power system for gaming devices at the Maryland Live Casino. My responsibilities included coordinating with vendors in order to meet their specific power needs during the construction of the casino floor, as well as installing the power system from its supply to its end use and ensuring its functionality. I was also responsible for documenting the installation of the system and noting any specific information that may be required for future maintenance.
