• Legislation/Administrative Rules - Responsible to change good Samaritan, standing order and co-prescribing language to product-agnostic “opioid reversal agent” language.

• Increased CareSource’s presence at the Ohio statehouse while successfully engaging in a pro-active company reputational repair strategy.
• Partnered with OAHP the Ohio managed care trade association and member managed care companies to pass successful industry budget language while defeating harmful provisions.
• Engaged Ohio Government officials including the Governor’s office, the legislative branch and various administrative agencies highlighting the valuable programs that CareSource brings to their communities.
• Partnered with a large number of patient and provider groups finding areas of commonality on issues while minimizing differences.

• Responsibilities:Lobbied in five state Great Lakes region with duties including legislative lobbying, regulatory policy and mental health advocacy where I assisted in start-up of department sharing lobbying.
• Lobbied against “Issue 2” pharmaceutical pricing ballot issue and issue suffered the largest defeat in Ohio history – 81%-19%.
• National responsibility for Fiscal Note legislative tracking service with responsibilities including the development of a national reporting system for Vice President as well as developing a more robust state level.
• Extended the “psych exemption to psych APN’s via budget language and successfully defended against a veto.
• Had rescinded an ODM rule that would prohibit nurses from billing same day of services as physicians which resulted in better access for company’s long-acting injectable medication.
• Lobbied extensively on HB 421 which was amended into SB 332 and signed into law in 2016 which allows pharmacists to inject mental health long-acting injectable medications under certain circumstances and worked with.
