Senior Director, Is
CurrentAlways driving to create new pathways, I began my career at Anthony J. Jannetti as an Editorial Coordinator; handling incoming manuscripts and managing peer review process with various editors and editorial boards of specialty nursing publications. Became instrumental to moving process from receiving paper manuscripts to accepting electronic formats. Defined Editorial Production Coordinator position and Electronic Publishing Services department, becoming more involved with the actual layout and production processes of the journals. Created the Internet Services department at the end of 1995 and launched self-hosted corporate and client Web sites in early 1996. Continued to push the evolution of Internet Services offered, moving the sites to a CMS platform fully integrated with association databases (CRM) in 2002. Drove migration of all databases to web services-enabled netFORUM platform capable of interacting with internal and external systems via a rich SOAP API.Transitioned all internal and client websites to Drupal 7 with responsive design as part of ongoing mobile-first approach to all technology projects. Continue to develop and extend internal and external services through customizations and integrations with other third-party systems. Developed and implemented mobile-centric volunteer management tool, completely contained within the association's netFORUM CMS module - leveraging jQuery, XML web services, SQL stored procedures, and twitter Bootstrap and redefining netFORUM eWeb tool to also act as a mobile application platform. Designed and implemented recertification dashboard for MSNCB within netFORUM, optimizing experience and efficiency of recertification process - internally and externally.Always looking for the creative ways to leverage existing IT assets to meet current and as-yet-unrealized client goals, while always maximizing value return on investment. And always seeking new technologies, new paradigms, and new opportunities to grow.
