Transformed PKWARE from a $1.3 million shareware company based on revenues from products related to the .zip file format, which the company pioneered. After delivering eight consecutive years of >20% growth and >40% EBITDA, we grew the company by more than 20X. The company was sold to private equity in 2010 for a multiple of 24x on equity invested. • Led all sales and marketing strategy, and built high-performing sales and customer experience teams.• Managed executive sponsor relationships across a customer base of ~100 strategic accounts and global channel partners. • Managed every aspect of sales opportunities in excess of $100,000 and all opportunities considered strategic.• Consistently exceeded internal KPIs to increase ASP and pipeline predictability. One of my favorite roles was building the global sales and marketing organization while residing in London. The role offered a number of tremendous growth opportunities and experiences. I built a high-performing enterprise sales team and a channel sales team. Together, we constructed and managed a distribution network of VARs across EMEA, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. We grew the sales effort from the ground-up and created a revenue stream that represented more than 35% of the company's new license revenue within three years.• Grew a $250,000 business in 2003 to $6 million at the end of fiscal 2008. By the end of 2012, it had grown to $10 million ($6.7M ARR).• Led growth of our international business from our UK office. Relocated, with my family, to the UK, as part of the effort to grow the EMEA sales organization.• Initially focused on enterprise sales to third-party data centers, large banks, and government entities throughout EMEA.

Led product strategy of PKZIP and SecureZIP on every enterprise platform, from Windows to IBM Mainframe environments.• Significantly altered company’s revenue growth trajectory and the product’s evolution from an open-source utility offering to an enterprise data security solution. Within three years, SecureZIP represented more than half of the company’s total licensing revenue• Managed relationships and execution of joint go-to-market strategies with strategic partners (e.g., RSA Security and Verisign).

• Start-up that enabled global electronics manufacturers to automate web-based catalogs throughout their value-added reseller base in North America and EMEA. • Customer acquisition strategy focused on globally recognized brands in Asia-Pacific (e.g. Sony, JVC, Panasonic) and their North American distributors, resellers, and system integrators.• Managed four-person business development team while driving revenues to >$3 million per annum. Struggled to scale the business beyond the industry in which we had significant domain expertise.• Worked directly with investment banking firm to raise debt financing and ultimately conducted a sale to the industry's leading trade association. Investors achieved an average return of 18% on their equity investment.

• Professional video system integrator with revenues of >$25 million• Directly managed an organization of 45 field-based engineers and technicians serving the Midwest region. • Managed partnership with Ameritech (AT&T) to deliver what was the largest distance-learning initiative of its kind. • Company was eventually sold to a firm executing a pre-IPO roll-up in the sector.
