We also grew the company’s revenues exponentially during my tenure and exited the company to CVC Capital Partners.Key accomplishments at WebPros:★ Formed and executed a growth strategy at WebPros. While we focused, improved, and grew the core business, we also invested in the future and launched innovative services encompassing security as a service (SOC as a service) as well as a new cloud-based management approach (Azure/AWS).Key accomplishments at Dataprise:★ Built and executed the strategy to shift Dataprise from an MSP only company to one that is multi-faceted (Cloud & Cyber) and diversified to grow revenues and EBITDA★ Executed a comprehensive strategy to diversity Dataprise's contact center. Rackspace is known for offering traditional Managed Hosting services while recently expanding their offers to include providing industry leading service and support on top of Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.In my leadership role as Vice President of Strategy & Operations, I am responsible for corporate strategy as well as leading two of Rackspace’s largest business units – VMware and Managed Hosting. The combined business units represent $1.4B in annualized revenue with ~ %40 gross margins and 18% Y/Y revenue growth; both businesses provide a substantial cash flow back to the business. The VMware business has full vertical integration while the Managed Hosting business is more fragmented.Key accomplishments at Rackspace:★ Built and executed the strategy to shift Rackspace from being an infrastructure provider to becoming the leading service provider on the industry’s leading clouds★ Successful negotiation and partnership formation with Intel to co-develop OpenStack for the enterprise known as the OpenStack Innovation Center★ Launched and executed an internal startup initiative that evaluated, funded and mentored business ideas resulting in the Fanatical AWS business unit, Rackspace Managed Security business and Google Cloud★ Accelerated growth of our VMware business from $550M to over $700M over the last two calendar years while maintaining gross margin above 40%★ Rekindled our Managed Hosting business to move the business from flat to nominal single digit growth over two years★ Both business units contribute a significant amount of EBITDA to Rackspace and are extremely cash flow positive★ Successful packaging and roadshow of Rackspace to strategic investors to become a private company; a transaction valued at more than $4.3B USD.

SoftLayer is well known for taking the existing dedicated hosting and cloud model and vastly improving upon it to achieve better asset utilization and margin through data center automation.In this leadership role, I was responsible for geographic expansion (data centers, network and offices), pricing optimization, product management and development, business development and large partner strategic planning and management. Full P&L responsibility.Key accomplishments during my tenure at SoftLayer my team expanded SoftLayer's reach into Asia and Europe:Singapore / Asia Expansion:★ Successfully built and deployed the 30,000-sq. ft. / 4.2 MW data center on time and under budget★ Successfully deployed fully redundant regional dark fiber network to interconnect our new data center to the rest of Asia and back to the US★ Hired full regional team from a general manager, sales, marketing, network and data center engineers★ Built a go to market strategy that leveraged our channel partners to quickly scale revenue★ Within 12 months we grew the data center revenue from $0 to over $12.5M in recurring revenue★ Cash flow positive within 16 months and break even in under 36 monthsThe Netherlands’ (Amsterdam) / Europe Expansion:★ The same build team that we deployed moved to Amsterdam to complete a similar task - expand SoftLayer to Europe. In this role I helped develop a company strategy and execute against our growth objectives. Successfully growing the company to a $5 million dollar annualized run rate. In this leadership role I was responsible for building out all company functions including sales, marketing, development (product and coding) as well as all operations.
