Experience includes award-winning mixed-use, educational and office projects that are human-centric, community-focused, and realized through collaboration.Todd’s professional experience as an architect spans over 20 years in both public and private realms, focusing on large-scale mixed-use developments and institutional architecture and planning, most recently for colleges and universities throughout Texas. Todd is guided by the notion that architecture, in sync with faculty instruction and administrative vision, has a responsibility to support, welcome and inspire students on their path towards personal and academic achievement as evidenced most recently by his work at The University of Texas at Austin and Austin Community College’s Highland Campus.Todd is a proponent of Public Private Partnerships and an advocate for the inclusion of education and public space in mixed-use developments, initiating economic benefit, learning and internship opportunities, and greater dimension to neighborhood diversity. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and serves on Austin’s Public Private Partnership Local Member Council. He is a frequent mentor for design students at UT Austin and Austin Community College and leads the research effort for non-instructional student support spaces at BGK Architects.
